Mold may be a serious health concern to those with immune deficiencies and others who may be affected by mold.  I was employed in a renovation position when I had initially became entrenched in mold remediation. A young girl was having seizures due to black mold in her room, and our company was given the opportunity to remediate the issue.  

The homeowner originally disclosed mold in one small area of the wall and she had a construction crew come in and cut it out and replace the sheet rock. This construction crew did not take any precautions and when cutting into the mold spread spores all over a $1 million house.  In not taking the necessary precautions, the mold spread, and within months, the young girl started to have seizures. This failure in not containing the mold meant  having to demo almost half the house including the kitchen, bathroom and of course her daughter’s room. This experience inspired me to educate and take all necessary precautions in order to stop the spread and eliminate any mold that could harm her daughter.  Upon the job completion, I had prevented a 15 year old girl from continuing to have serious health concerns and seizures.
